JMac Update

We took James for his two month pediatrician appointment (two weeks ago - I know I'm slow!) and he's a big boy! Little man was 11lb3oz (22nd percentile) and 23.75in (80th percentile). Little man isn't so little! He is right between sizes right now with some of his 0-3 month clothes being too short but some of the 3-6 month things still being too big. So basically, his room is a mess of clothes because we're dressing out of two sizes right now!

More on Jiminy Cricket...

He is still sleeping in the RockNPlay in our room at night. And now he actually sleeps! Twice he has done a 7+ hour stretch of sleep! Sadly both nights were ones the twins didn't sleep. #cantwin James has started taking one nap a day in his crib like a big boy. Break mamas heart! But, it is nice to be completely childfree for a little bit in the evenings. He is a champion sleeper when he is swaddled and secure but forget the swaddle and he forgets sleeping. Do a bad swaddle that he breaks out of and he lets you know all about your failure. Like his brothers, he also really likes to fall asleep during tummy time. So, if the twins are napping or if Jiminy is in my office with me, I'll let him enjoy a tummy nap. A rare treat!

JMac is the strong silent type right now. He loves to smile and he's an amazing listener (lady babies take note!) but he doesn't talk much. Don't get me wrong he occasionally coos and certainly communicates, but mostly he loves to smile and listen. He's happiest when he is facing out and watching his brothers play or laying on his playmat or in the boppy and part of the action!

    1. Thanks! It was made by a friend from high school who sells them on etsy. Her shop name is We Choose Joy. You should check her out!

  2. My girl was the same way when it came time for swaddling. She wanted the blanket to be tight and she'd fuss and fuss if it wasn't right. She wanted her arms out, though, and god forbid you try to swaddle them!

    1. Oh man - an arms out tight swaddle sounds like a challenge! At least for now J wants the full on swaddle. We can get away with a SwaddleMe suit as long as we pull it really tight though.
