The Bump told us that Pip and Pop are as big as canteloupes (yum!), while BabyCenter compares their size to an ear of corn since both are nearly a foot long. His Boys Can Swim continues to use an over-inflated football to describe their size (until week 24). Pip and Pop both weighed 20oz, The Bumps high end for a normal fetus this week, at their growth scan two weeks ago (on October 23). I wonder how much my little dinosaurs weigh now?!
Pip and Pop have gotten so much stronger! Their movements are strong enough now that Casey put his hand on my belly and feel very light little flutters on Tuesday night! (I know, technically this was in week 23 but it happened after I posted the weekly update Tuesday morning and I want to remember the day.) Those little flutters will just get stronger and stronger in the coming weeks! In the womb, Pip and Pop are both growing and developing. This photo shows two head-down babies, which would be ideal for delivery. Our babies aren't hanging out this way. Pip is head-down (and VERY low), while Pop is breech.
Tired. Trouble bending over. Nauseous (I thought nausea was a first trimester thing!). Clumsy. Headaches. Dizzy. Weak. (The last two are from anemia.)
How I'm Changing:
As I keep saying, I continue to grow rounder each week.
By popular request, a return of the low quality iPhone self-portrait:
What I'm Eating:
Red meat. Fruit. Bananas. Milk. Odwalla Chocolate Protein Monsters.
I've been craving steak lately, which is probably my body trying to combat the anemia. Maybe if I had listened I wouldn't have ended up in labor and delivery....
Nothing to report. It is hard to be annoyed during this miracle pregnancy we weren't sure would ever happen. No matter how rough things get with the pregnancy, at the end of it all Casey and I will be bringing home two little boys. Not annoyed at all!
I am sleeping very fitfully. Really struggling to stay asleep and fall back asleep after I wake up.
I have been feeling weak and dizzy from anemia. I miss feeling healthy! I am glad to report that everything is okay with Pip, Pop, and I but I am ready to feel like me again.
Belly Button Watch:
Innie. Not as deep as it once was though. Uhoh!
What I'm most excited about:
Viability on Thursday!!! Almost 24w0d!!! So so so excited to reach this milestone.
I am also eagerly anticipating our Multiples Class on Saturday.
