Sad News

Over the years I have bought a number of things for both myself and my husband at Harold's.  The clothes are certainly not trendy, but if I needed a nice dress in a pinch I knew they would always have something classic that I would like and would fit me well.  My first fancy date with Casey, I wore a Harold's dress.  I got engaged wearing a dress from Harold's. I wore a dress from Harold's to my rehearsal dinner.  I wore numerous Harold's dresses on my honeymoon.  You get the idea?

Today they declared bankruptcy.  Sad.  You can all bet that if they do a liquidation sale I'll be there!  (if anyone learns when/where this is - please tell me!)

  3. No way, that's NOT possible! I am SO bummed, I should of known something was up when they closed shop in Illinois. I have tons of stuff from there, ugh! I can't believe that - how SAD!!! Too bad I am not close for any liquidation event, hopefully I can catch it online. I couldn't quite understand why the would close shop in Oak Brook, IL and remain open in Indianapolis, IN - just didn't make sense - now I guess it's probably due the the HIGH rent! Boo hoo, I am so SAD now too!

  5. That is sad! Thanks for the prayers for Jane - I was following little Rory's story too. It is hard with pets, they are part of the family, but they also aren't human. Luckily she seems to be fine for now, and I'm glad Rory is doing better too :) BTW, I went garage saleing up in Allen and McKinney, but I think I might try north Richardson in the older neighborhoods too, if you want to go sometime!

  6. I love this place. I have been shopping there since the fifth grade. So sad. I wonder if they will have their warehouse sale at Fair park like they usually do?
