Help!

In preparation for lots of time at home doing nothing - I am going to get a library card this afternoon (and of course picking up a few books!)  Dallas libraries let you get 5 books the first time you use a new card and I need help choosing.
What would you recommend my five books be?

And don't forget to enter my giveaway this week!

  1. I'm currently reading the Shack... If you haven't already, you should get it, read it, embrace it and let it change your life :)

  3. I just borrowed the Shack from my grandmother but havent started it yet! I love to read but I usually read pretty girly, trash-tastic books :)

  4. Girly and Trashtastic is perfect -- remember I'm not going to be at my smartest when I'm all doped up on pain killers!

  5. Party Favors, The Lady of Milkweed Manor, Summer at Tiffany, The Last Mrs. Astor, The Ivy Chronicles, The Irish Game, Chasing Harry Winston- this a mixture of fun, chicklit, art and history!

  6. Oh my gosh, I WAY second the Redeeming Love recommendation! I also have heard quite the buzz about the Twilight series book for teens, although I haven't read them myself. May have to though...

  7. What type of books do you like? I love all the James Patterson books (mystery, law firms) and Nicholas Sparks (sappy, romantic). I have just started reading the Harry Potter books, although I NEVER thought I would enjoy them...I'm on the 5th book now. But probably my all time favorite book is "Angry Housewives Eating Bon-bons"...you've got to check this one out!!!! Just as cute, touching, and funny as the title would suggest!
