Good/Bad

Good:  During my morning walks with Rory I have gotten to know some of the people in my neighborhood.Bad:  This past week a number of people have asked me what my dog was going to be for the Halloween Block Party.  I answered a dog - but that was apparently not the right answer.
Good:  I like to shop and I love a challenge so I can a totally find a costume for my dog even though I've never dressed her in her life.
Bad:  My favorite dog store is now out of business.  The Yap was the only place in Dallas that catered to little dogs and carried lots of 8" collars, leashes with small clasps, bags, etc.
Good:  There will be a tent sale with all of The Yaps stuff this Friday and Saturday.  I'll be there.
Bad: It won't have Halloween costumes.
Good:  Their are a few other pet supply stores around where I can try and find a costume.
Bad:  Unless I want her to go as a lobster they are all sold out of everything in an XS.

So does anyone have any suggestions?  My dog has a HUGE supply of leashes and collars but I've never put her in clothes before.  We bought her Mouse Ears at Disney this summer but they were too big and so wouldn't stay on, but other than that she's always just been a dog.  If I'm going to dress her up for Halloween (which according to my neighbors isn't optional) I figure I might as well go all out.  Does anyone have a great place they order dog things online?  A great idea for a costume I could make?

  2. I wish I could dress our dog up! But Mr. Guru would throw a fit! I would suggest Target, Walmart and even Petsmart!!

  3. You are going to think I am crazy, but I got Chloe a Halloween costume at Club Libby Lu last year. She weighs just over five pounds, is a mini maltese and was the cutest pumpkin ever. They had loads of items that would fit your little one. The items are actually made for their stuffed animal things, but worked perfectly for us. We also bought her the little house to sleep in. She picks it over her bed any day!

PS- FILL ME IN ON THE YAP TENT SALE!!! WHEN AND WHERE? I SO WANT TO BE THERE!!
